Animus Project Updates - Downloadable Content

We're very pleased to announce the release of yet another massive DLC pack for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood! With 8 new missions and 2 new locations for the single player campaign and a massive update for multiplayer, this is the largest update yet. The Da Vinci Disappearance includes:

After the fall of the Borgias in Rome, Leonardo Da Vinci is kidnapped by the Hermeticists, an underground cult dedicated to transforming mankind. Ezio will embark on a relentless quest to recover stolen paintings in order to find Leo before it is too late, discovering two new locations and two new gameplay features along the way.

Alhambra Multiplayer Map: The multiplayer addition is the biggest expansion to the award-winning multiplayer yet, including one new map, four new characters and two new game modes. The new multiplayer map, Alhambra, is a lush environment set in Spain's Albaicin of Granada and provides multileveled indoor and outdoor areas perfect for predators to lurk in the dense crowd for unsuspecting targets.

4 New Characters - 2 New Game Modes: There are four new characters: the Dama Rossa, the Knight, the Marquis and the Pariah and two new gamplay modes. These modes, Escort and Assassinate, will provide a whole new gameplay experience for Brotherhood players. In Escort mode, two teams of four players compete in this team-based mode where each team must protect their VIP target or assassinate the other team's VIP target. In Assassinate mode six to eight players are pitted against each other deathmatch style in one ten minute round.

Pienza Multiplayer Map: Considered the touchstone of Renaissance Urbanism, Pienza is a town in central Tuscany that features environments tailored to a variety of gameplay styles. From packed marketplaces ideally suited to crowd-based stealth kills to the warren of alleyways perfect for melting into anonymity after 7contract completion to soaring towers designed for spectacularly acrobatic aerial kills, Pienza offers plenty of opportunities for every type of hunter out there.

Chest Capture Multiplayer Mode: Two teams of three face off against each other in Abstergo's version of King of the Hill meets Capture the Flag. "Hunters" must seek out chests scattered across the map and secure them by camping them for a set amount of time. Meanwhile, "Protectors" are tasked with taking down the "Hunters" before they can nab any of the precious Templar booty (chests). Of course, each match consists of two rounds, with the roles switching for each round so each team gets a chance to play as "Hunters" and "Protectors." (It's only fair.)

Templar Score Ranking System: Adding a new layer to rankings, Templar Score compiles your multiplayer scores from the previous four weeks and splits all Abstergo recruits into ten distinct slices called Templar Grade. Your Templar Grade will be a constantly evolving measure of your worth in the Abstergo hierarchy.

The Animus Project Update 1.0 includes a brand-new game mode and brand new map for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Multiplayer. The game mode, Advanced Alliance, will take the original Alliance Mode with target identification and engagement more difficult, thus providing a more challenging experience for players. With three teams of two players each, Advanced Alliance is a tougher test for players and rewards teams that use stealth techniques to hunt their targets.

Located on a rocky tidal island of Normandy in France, the new map, Mont Saint-Michel, offers breathtaking scenery sure to enchant all. Its particular topography of narrow streets, high-perched bell tower and multi-leveled architecture is perfect for hunters to surge from out of nowhere to execute their prey. To survive, recruits will need to use free-running and narrow roads to their advantage.
